This full-day workshop, presented by Nancy Ziehme, is specifically designed for teachers who are already using the Stevenson Reading Program.  Several make-and-take activities and games will be completed, and more will be demonstrated.  Classroom management stratgeies will be discussed, and ample time for questions and answers will be provided.  Cost is $50 per person.  Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m, and the workshop will actually start at 9:00.  It will go to about 3:00 p.m. with breaks.  Sign up on-line, and we will contact you to arrange payment, send directions etc. SPACE IS LIMITED.

Bill Stevenson, Managing Editor of the Stevenson Reading Program, will lead an extended session designed to support teachers who are already using the Stevenson Program or otherwise have some familiarity with it.  The session will be held at the ESC of Central Ohio.  Bill will take questions, discuss special learning problems and demonstrate some unpublished strategies.  There will be an optional agenda offered to start the session, but Bill will focus on whatever issues are most important to the audience.  This workshop will run from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m., however participants are welcome to attend for only part of the time.  Some teachers may be able to take time off from school, others may have to come after school.  Some will come from the immediate area and others may have to travel.  This event is free, but we would appreciate advance notice.  When you register, we will provide details of the format and a potential agenda.

Managing Editor Bill Stevenson is holding a free introductory session in Columbus on December 14 while he is visiting schools in central and western Ohio.  Senior Trainer Nancy Ziehme will be doing two separate days of training at the Region 10 ESC near Dallas this winter and two more in the summer.  We are going to set up at least one workshop in Broward County Florida for February, but the details will not be set until mid December.  There will probably be some activities in New Jersey and again in Ohio in the spring.  Check out the “Events and Workshops” section on our website (www.stevensonlearning.com) from time to time for more information.  (Or just click here.)

Floranada Elementary

Fairfield County ESC

Dr. Tom Diebold will present a full-day workshop on the Stevenson Reading Program that focuses on the Beginning Green Level with some elements of the Basic Blue Level and Overlapping Strategy also covered.   The training will be held at the Fairfield County ESC, but teachers from outside of the county are welcome.  Cost is $30, witha box lunch included.  Attendance certificates for contact hours will be available.  (PD credit from Ashland University is also offered if this workshop is combined with another from the June Academy.)
